Fix/Performance update 3.3.3 is available
Version 3.3.3 of COL Reminder has a lot of fixes and I have done a lot of work to optimize the performance of the start time and the list scrolling.
Also with 3.3.3 I have reduced the size of the app down by 2 MB!
This means you can faster update/download the app and of course it uses less space on your phone!
New in 3.3.3 is the “Splash Screen” if you open the app.
Instead of showing, while starting, a grey background you will see now a Splash Screen.
Splash Screens are now very popular on Android to remove the boring grey background while starting.
Apps like “Google Photos”, “Flamingo”, “Pocket” and many more have added this long time ago. Now “COL Reminder” shows this too.
IMPORTANT: The display of the Splash Screen does not need any extra time so the app starts at the same speed/time as before. It only shows a short moment the splash screen instead of the grey background!
Another goodie in 3.3.3 is that COL Reminder does now only play the alarm tone onces after boot.
So if you have 20 active notifications on your phone and you boot it. You will hear only 1 alarm tone after boot for all of the 20 notifications!!
No more sound chaos after boot 😉
Some users reported that they have accidentally deleted some reminders via swipe. With 3.3.3 I have change the way of swipe and delete.
After swipe to delete you have to confirm your delete of the entry with another tap. I hope this helps to prevent accidentally deletes.
What’s next:
After Version 3.3.3 I am now working for the next feature update 3.4!
If there are no major issues with 3.3.3 there will be no fix release 3.3.4.
So stay tuned for the next great features for COL Reminder with version 3.4.
And besides 3.4 I am working also on a very big new feature for COL Reminder.
