3.6 – Updated Design
Version 3.6 main focus was to update all visual elements and background code to the newest Material Design.
Aside from that there are also a lot of new features.
New Material Design
The app uses now the new updated Material Design elements.
So you will see that the whole app shines now in a new way.
Like rounded corners, updated themes, updated icons, updated colors and much more..
New Font
With the new Design update the app uses now also a new Font.
Androd 10 Dark Mode
A new theme called “System Based” is available.
If enabled the theme light (Dark Mode off) or dark (Dark mode On) is changed on the Android 10 Dark Mode.
New Calendar Appointment Info
If you set a date and time for your reminder you will now see your calendar entries on that set time.
So you can quickly see if your reminder conflicts with an appointment in your calendar.
You can deactivate this feautre inside “Settings“, “Date and Time”, “Show conflicting calendar events“.
Also you can select “Calendars” and select your calendars if you have more than one.
Vibration Pattern, Ringtone Type Selection
Welcome back to “Vibration Patterns” and “Ringtone Type Selection” to Android 8 and up.
Finally I have found a way to support again the custom “Vibration Patterns” and the “Ringtone Type Selection”.
Select from “Alarm”, “Notification”, “Ringtone” and “All” types. So you can now use not only a notification ringtone.
New Warning Message For No Sound
You see now a new warning message if you have selected “No Sound” or “Low Priority” outside of the app in the system settings.
If this is selected you don’t get any sound from COL Reminder anymore. This was often accidentally activated from the users.
Show Repeat and Priority In Notification
It is now possible wo show the repeat and priority info inside the notification.
You find this new feature in “Settings“, “Notifications” / “Advanced” –> “Show repeat and priority info in notifications“.
New First Start Tutorial
A new designed first start tutorial welcomes now new users.
If you are not a new user you can start the new first start tutorial inside “Settings“, “General“, “Show First Start Tutorial“.
New external SD-Card Tutorial
Inside “Backup Settings” if you have an external SD-Card you see now also the new tutorial for the SD-Card selection.
New Empty View Screen
If you don’t have any reminders saved or after a fresh install you see now the new empty view screen.
